Archiprix 2013 in The Studio of The New Institute
Exhibition | NAI Rotterdam - Gallery 3 | 02/07/13-01/09/13
From 2 July The New Institute is presenting the best graduation plans
from all of the master's courses in the Netherlands in the field of
architecture, urban design and landscape architecture.
The exhibition provides a picture of the state of the art of design education in the Netherlands. Ranging from a strategy for the use of rear gardens that meets the demands of locals for more space to an urban development growth model for Chinese metropolises, each one offers a clever solution for current design issues in the Netherlands and abroad. These talented designers show with their plans, presented in drawings and scale models, that they are ready to enrich professional practice with original approaches and inspiring projects.
The accredited master's courses taking part are the faculties of architecture of the Delft and Eindhoven Universities of Technology, the spatial planning department of Wageningen University, and the Academies of Architecture in Amsterdam, Arnhem, Groningen, Maastricht, Rotterdam and Tilburg.
The exhibition was previously shown in the Hofpoort, where the Archiprix award ceremony was held on 22 June.
There is a publication to accompany the exhibition published by uitgeverij nai010.
The Archiprix 2013 competition is funded by the Creative Industries Incentive Fund, Hunter Douglas, and the institutes taking part.
